That’s a shame. ):
Oh god, what an asshole. I hope someone decides to do something about him soon!
Oh, you bet that’s sexism.
Isn’t there someone you could talk to to show your support for Tina? It’s a shame that she’s the one who got cut down because of someone else’s incompetence.
Take this as a PSA and block these fedoras.
Their usernames are xemos-the-shim and blanketofskulls. Trigger warning for the links: rape jokes and threats.
Oh my god, yes.
Fucking misogynist logic.
To be quite honest, I’m a firm believer that Misandry Isn’t A Thing, so you can find a bit of misandry humour on my personal blog… I prefer not to bring that over here, though.
Even though you’re grammatically right (I think - I’m not a native English speaker and I didn’t know about that difference between jealous and envious), I still don’t think it’s the right word! It’s not a matter of envy, I think what the writer failed to convey is a completely different feeling.
Man, there is so much wrong with that phrase I’m not even sure where to start.
It’s more like a thing where men SWEAR it’s an example of “female privilege” when in fact it’s just another instance of objectification and Dudes Being Nice Because They Wanna Get Laid, while feminists just want people to stop it with the thin/white/conventionally attractive privilege…

Except that’s rape culture right there. Rape, no matter what your gender is, is a serious issue and it’s not okay. Just because someone is a douchebag and says something like “Well, I wouldn’t mind if a woman raped me” doesn’t make the rape of a male something to not be taken just as seriously as the rape of a female/other gender.
Rape is wrong.
It should be taken seriously no matter what.
The end.

[CONT] Would it be acceptable for me (a boy) to explain what’s wrong with TMoE during class? I’m very nervous about accidentally engaging in mansplaining here, but I’m certain at this point that none of the other students will acknowledge that anything is wrong with the story. (NOTE: My teacher is a white man)
Personally, I think it’s acceptable, yeah! If you’re feeling insecure you could also talk to some of your female classmates and see if they share your opinion, maybe even speak to your professor as a group instead of an individual.
